Buying an engine in Canada

Anyone ever buy an engine in Canada and bring it back across the border? I'm in Michigan and there is an engine closer to me and cheaper than I can find in the US.

Is there anything I need to look out for or can I just throw it on a trailer and drive back across?
 
Check with your customs agency to see what's the $$ limit on something you can import without needing to prep paperwork ahead of time.
For Canadians importing from the US it's $1600 (otherwise known as a "Low Value Shipment"/"LVS").
