If you can find it. The panasonic ES8095NC is the best I've ever used. It retails at 150 so it might be hard to find it for a hundred.

Got mine for 96 at target way in the back with a red tag on it. Target doesn't even seem to carry any panasonic shavers, buy hey.

got a braun 7505 (refurb) from amazon. it came with new foil and cutter block... it costs around $40 and i like it. close shave and a charge lasts me about 6 months? (i shave 2,3 times a week, with not much mustache)

with that said, i recommend a braun. since it's a gift, don't get a refurb...

Great choice. I have the ES8092NC, which is identical, except for a slight color difference. It's about $20-30 cheaper on average.

I too am interested in this... I'm really really scruffy and my old panasonic was completley useless... I think I need something that will take off fingers if it has to.....

Whatever you get, don't get this: http://www.braun.com/na/produc...dryshaving/flexxp.html

It's a piece of crap and I have to shave my neck like 34,000 times before it gets the little hairs left. My old shaver did a way better job. I don't remember what kind of shaver it was, but it had 3 blades that rotated in circles. I think the circular blades are the reason it gave a better shave.

I had a Braun once and it shaved me better than another razer I have owned. I have a Panasonic now and it is just not cutting it (no pun intended).

Braun 7526. I got mine from Ebay new for $85 with shipping. You can get them at retail for ~$120.

It's waaaay better than my old Norelco Reflex.

Anubis and Apex: Where did you guys get your 8092s? I've been trying to figure out what razor I want to get and the 8092 seems to be at the top of the list. I can't find it in any b&m stores around here and Amazon has it for $125. Not sure I want to pay that much if I can avoid it.
