Buying advice: iTouch 4 vs used iPhone 3GS

Hey guys would like your input on which one to buy. I just lost my old iphone so i'm on the market looking for a new device. At first the touch would have been a no-brainer for me however I'm a little disappointed in the rear camera. So for me it's been ~$275 3GS 16gig vs the $299 iTouch 32 gig. I will not use the iphone as a phone in the u.s. and only as a phone when I am traveling though. So what do you guys think?

You could use the Touch with Skype provided you have an external microphone for it. The 32gb fourth generation has the same guts at the iPhone 4. If you just want a MID, it's a good bet, even though it lacks 3G support.

AFAIK the touch does have an external mic this time around, it's just on the back. No idea how good it is at "regular" phone calls though.

since you don't use it as a a phone most of the time, the ipod touch has a faster processor and better screen than the 3gs, even if its not as good as the iohone 4's.

the 4th gen ipod is wicked cheap compared to the iphone. nearly damn useless. very difficult to use with an iphone 4 due to methods of inbound calling.
