wondering since I'm getting a good deal on an xbox 360 slim 250gb with a bunch of games on the drive. Are they only connected to the other person's live account, or as long as they are on the hard drive and I don't format it, it's playable offline and on my live account. Thanks

i think you have to have alive account to play on disk games that would be pretty stupid on ms part if that wasn't a prerequisite.

im also certain that you have to have the live account that was used to purchase them to play them.

if they are disc games that were copied to the hard drive for loading times to be decreased you still need the disc for verification.

Unless they are providing discs or the console is hacked, all installed games will be tied to an account. Unless you are buying from someone you know, I would be suspicious. At best I wouldn't offer any more money than you would spend for just the console (ignoring the games), and if you suspect a hacked console I wouldn't offer anything at all. It would suck to create an XBL live account just to be blacklisted because of a hacked system. 0.02.

No the downloaded games will be linked to the last person's account. In the best scenario, you'd reset the console and wipe the HDD.

If the seller is offering you his "old account", don't take it.

under games account there is a transfer license has anyone tried that option? It's no big deal since I don't like those games anyways.

I sold my ps3 that had a few games on it with no trouble, he took over the account but I did it like this. Had the guy come over, we changed the email address to his and he created a new password for the account that I didn't know. He never had a single issue with it.

He got the 250gb ps3, gta 5, NBA 2k14, and madden 15 on the drive . If you do it right there's no issue. If your not interested in the games then offer what they go for with a clean hard drive

Unless the person selling the Xbox 360 gives you their live account credentials so that you can change the email/password and take possession of the account, you would be in danger of all of those games ceasing to function if the person that controls the account ever does a license transfer to another Xbox.

More importantly, buying an account runs the risk of having the sketchy seller report the sale to Microsoft (or claim that the account was stolen). I'm almost positive that selling a LIVE account would be against the ToU/EULA, and so buying an account/console for digital games is something I wouldn't ever trust.
