My trusty '91 Ford Escort broke down and it would cost $1,500 to fix, so I need a new "used" car. I saw an ad in the paper for a '97 Plymouth Breeze for $2,995 - 71K, auto, black. Any obvious things I have to ask or do? And please, don't tell me it's a POS car, I don't need to hear that, I just need a car for the moment, so constructive critisism only, please. THANK YOU!

If the car is in decent shape, the dealer's not going to budge on that price. If there are some things that obviously wrong, you can either try to get the dealer to fix them as a condition of the sale, or you can try to get the dealership to give you a bit of a discount. Don't expect much though, dealerships very rarely deal with cars at that are below $5,000 (at least in my area), they usually sell such cheap cars off to other wholesalers that only do used cars.
