In my PC World magazine, it said "recommended specs" for Vista were:
[*]64-bit CPU
[*]2 GB memory
[*]Video card with 128 MB of RAM
[*]SATA hard disk
[*]Monitor with HDCP support (if you play select high def videos)
But I'm not buying that (no pun intended). I'm pretty sure they have a 32-bit version coming out. That's just "recommended", so don't think you
need those specs, I'm pretty sure you don't.
I take it you'd buy a Dell instead of build it yourself? If you mean would I buy XP now even though Vista is coming soon? It depends if you want to use a new PC till then. Otherwise I would wait. However release dates are never final, and where did you hear it was coming out in 6 months? I haven't been following it lately but all I see is more delays on Google News.
