hey guys, just wanted to get some thoughts on something I'm thinking of buying. A guy is selling me pretty much the front brake setup off a stock 94 accord (hub, caliper, rotors, and hopefully the knuckle), a camber kit, and a few "misc" front suspension pieces for $125 shipped. What do you guys think? worth it?

rotors are used 8k, calipers probably life of the car (though I was thinking of rebuilding and selling them).

94 accord as well of course. oh yea, and everything is used (camber kit as well). I'm not too familar w/ junkyard prices on the front brake parts, so i'm asking for some thoughts.

he wanted to sell them as a package only, i need the camber kit definately. The other parts, like the spare hub I guess I can have a new wheel bearings pressed in and install the hub onto a new rotor (i dont want his drilled/slotted ones) so when i change my brakes i can get it done ASAP w/o taking off my current one, and taking them to have the bearings changed. The calipers, i was thinking of practicing rebuilding on it.

OT: anyone know where a good place to buy a cd player from a 96 Honda Civic would be? I'm looking for a stock one.

Ask him to mic the rotors and tell you how good they are.. if they have meat on them, + the camber kit it's a good deal.. if, they're +.002 over limit, you can find camber kits on e-bay cheaper.. New..

well the particular camber kit he has is goin at $110 shipped brand new, not quite sure how to value a used one. The rotors i dont plan to use at all, but i guess i should have them checked since I will part them out again. I'm not the "slotted/drilled" type... solid rotors = better IMO than modified ones.

Slotted isn't so bad but those drilled sure do like to crack, seen atleast 1 person with em cracked every time I go to Second Creek or Steamboat

When you lower a car you will usually gain negative camber, where the wheels are tilted in at the top. It helps with cornering but really kills tire life. The camber kits correct this to maintain tire life.
