Buying a replacement LCD screen

Liver

Senior member
I need to replace a screen on a ThinkPad. It is a couple of years old, but the screen is cracked.

I have googled, froogled searched for cheap replacement screens, but could not find any (cheap replacements). I found several in the $450+ range:Q

I would like to replace the screen, but at a much cheaper cost since the laptop is not worth that much any more.

If it helps it is a IBM ThinkPad T22 with

FRU 46L2493
IBM 46L2492
Hitachi TX36D97VC1CAA

It is a 14.1 inch SXGA+ (1400x1050).

I really don't care if it is a "genuine" replacement or if it is new,as long at it fits and works.

Any ideas are appreciated.
