Buying a portable DVD player

Okay, so i'm (planning on) buying a portable dvd player and i have some questions. Do these things have skip protection? Last thing I need is a skipping movie and a scratched DVD. Also could someone recommend me a model to buy. Here are some specs i need:

*Decent Battery Life
*>=7" screen
*Multiple headphone jacks would be preferred
*$200-300 range

I've looked into these:

I'm leaning towards the COBY. Any suggestions?

I vote for the second link. Philips PET710. If I was to consider spending over $300 I'd get a small laptop with a DVD player.

Why not get a used laptop? 10-14" screen, enough battery life...plus it can double as a freakin' computer... :Q

Seriously, buying a protably DVD player is just retarded, unless you want no bigger than a 7" screen.

I've got a Samsung L75 with a 7" screen. Other then the fact that if you turn it off, you can't resume your position, I love it, and I got it for $140 as a BB open box.
