Im looking to buy a new laptop for my son . He will use it for school but I want it to beable to play games on it like WoW , PoTBS , Madden etc..

We have a budget of 800-1000$

What is PoTBS?

-->If College, what is he studying?
-->If College, do they have any poartnerships with a vendor?
-->If College, do they have discounts on software like Office, or Windows?
-->If College, do they have any dictation regarding specs?

potbs is pirates of the burning sea .
screen size and max settings isnt a huge concern .
main concern is he will be able to play game like WOW etc. without too much lag.
he has a decent desktop but I do 50/50 custody with his mother and alot of times he carrys his desktop back and fourth so were wanting to get him a decent gameable laptop that he can carry around .He wont use it too much for school since hes in 8th grade but having it there when he needs it is a plus.

Any Dell, Hp, etc with a discrete graphics card should suffice. Anything 8400 series (Nvidia) or 2400 series (ATI) should be a good compromise between gaming an battery life, as well an inexpensive. WoW is more cpu dependent if I remember correctly as well.
