Hey All,

I'm looking to buy a new desktop, and I wanted to get some advice. Specs below:

Model: HP a350y
Processor: P4 2.4 GHz
System Memory: 512 MB DDR SDRAM
Hard Drive: 80 GB, 7200 rpm
DVD: 16x
CDR: 48/12/48
Diskette Drive: 3.5 Floppy
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Software: Office XP Small Business

and most importantly...
PRICE: $846.71

Any advice/suggestions/input regarding value, dealing with HP (reliability?), or a similar desktop for a better price??
I'd greatly appreciate it.

[disclaimer: this is my first post ever...]

There was a Dell with a similar config (depending if you wanted P4 or celeron) from about 250-300 AR. It was over at FW.

Impossible to build that kind of config at those prices.

Let me tell you something about consumer grade HP/Compaq machines. They are the worst among the bunch. They build great server racks, but stay away from their consumer grade stuff.
