Buying a new 19" monitor tmrw or friday!

I have been looking for a new 19 inch lcd for about 2 months and I think i finally decided on one. The samsung 940B from newegg- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001066 which seems to have the best price/performance ratio for a 19". My mom said the most she will spend at max is $310-$320 plus i have to buy a dvi cable since samsung doesnt come with one. Just my luck that newegg included this monitor in their sale. Anyways before i buy this monitor, does anyone have any better reccomendations in my price range???




P.S-this will be my early christmas present

The 930BF has a lower response time and lower black level, according to the specs but I'm not sure how those convert in real life. It is just out of your price range though unless you can cough up another $30 or buy it cheaper from another retailer. You'll have to look for reviews to see which is better. I haven't used either of these monitors.

sry i cant cough up anymore money at all in 2 days........or even loan so stay under $320 please.

According to THG the 930BF has badly-done Overdrive so I suggest you go with the 940B anyway. The 930BF's response is pretty painful:

The 940B is likely a "real" 8ms. display and should deliver better results.

I found a review over at the hardforums http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=974748 it seems to be a pretty sweet monitor and had persuaded alot of people to buy it. However he says something that puzzles me... "One thing though, i do NOT recommend installing the Driver for this monitor. Doing this removes your 75Hz refresh rate for some reason and therefore not very good for gaming w/ Vsync on." What exactly is that supposed to mean? I thought refresh rate of lcds didnt matter or something like that. I searched this forum and found that most lcd's refresh at 60hz...so can someone clear this up for me?
