Buying a EVGA 6600gt

So i am thinking of buying a EVGA AGP 6600gt to replace my old 9600pro that i belive is causing some problems. I was wondering if there are any problems with the card and my mobo (abit ai7).
Also i know my psu (the one the came with the case) is kind of weak with only 450watts with 16A on +12v but should it affect the card in anyway.
Finally If you think I am stupid for buying a video card with the system i already have and belive that i can do something better with $130 i have please tell me. O yeah besides saving up money or paying the 20 dollars more for the 6800.

 Great card. Had it running on a 300 watt power supply with no problems. You shouldn't have any problems if it's from a reputable brand (froton/sparkle, antec, etc).

I recall reading here that even the "worst" 6800 will outperform the best 6600GT. If it's really just $20, then I'd definately go with that.

yeah i know the 6800 can outperfrom the 6600gt in almost all benchmarks and owns it when u get up to higher resolutions but i am happy with my 1024 by768 and hell i can play bf2 nicely with my 9600pro except for the CTDS. And plus the card has a rebate on it so i save alittle more and i can put that towards some memory or some gas.
