search "dvd" in the Software forum, this has been asked dozens of times this year. Use Advanced Search & archived threads to see them all.

DVD Shrink and Nero. You need both of them.

Pretty much all you need.

There are other compressing programs that could do a better job than DVD shrink, but you get what you paid for.

DVD decrypter

What does that do?

Mainly used for ripping the DVD files to your HD, but it can also be used to burn ISO images. You don't even need to pay for Nero in order to burn the DVD....just use DVD Shrink for compression/analysis and Decrypter to burn.

CloneDVD from Elby. All in one prgoram that gives you complete control over everything. 30-day trial and then it's pretty cheap anyway after that. Works Awesome.

CloneDVD works awesome, but I've used DVDShrink+Nero(or DVD Decrypter) and they are a great team. Your call.

In a nutshell, DVD Decrypter is all you need to rip and burn DVDs...unless you plan on ripping data/movies from a DVD that contains more than 4.7 GB of data (e.g., dual-layer DVD movies), in which case you will [also] need DVDShrink.

DVDShrink can generally do everything DVD Decrypter can do except perform the actual burn itself, (but it can rip selected data from a dual-layer DVD), which is why you need Nero or similar burning software to do the burn.
