Buying a Domain Name

After a long time looking I finally found an untaken domain name that I want, but I'm a complete neophyte at exactly how to obtain it. How much a year am I looking at here? Who is the best registerar? etc . . .

BTW : It's a .com

If you need web hosting for your web site and e-mail I would check out HostPC.com which has a Labor Day sale for the next 10 hours.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

GoDaddy - register it anonymously

Good point, I forgot to mention something.

NameCheap.com is offering FREE WhoisGuard Protection for a limited time. Keep your name, address, phone and e-mail address private from spambots and stalkers.

You out of the business?

arrugh! It's taken - it's just they don't have a website on it. The domain expires REAL soon though . . . tempted to backorder it.

Nope but I don't provide 24/7 support like HostPC does and they offer a better control panel (DirectAdmin).

$15.98/yr gets you a lot of web hosting plus 10 addon domains so you can host a total of 11 domains for under $16/yr. Not bad.

Also includes Installatron auto installer scripts.
