Debating on what color I should get. Do you guys think its worth it to upgrade from LX to EX, and if the upgrade to EX, should I upgrade to Navigation System? Im getting automatic fyi. Im thinking the metallic silver, altho i like the black and the greensh dark metal kind too
 
Black; always in style and good resale value. LX to EX kinda depends on if you can afford it, I think the EX has a better stereo in it, so if you plan on putting an aftermarket in it, LX might work fine, other than that I think the EX has alloy wheels as opposed to hubcaps (im going off my memory). Wheels you could always replace too.
 
yea the ex has a 350w stereo compared to 160w in lx...and the ex also has 7 speakers compared to 6 and also have a woofer. The EX does have 16'' alloys. Good choice on the black, altho the silver ones are tempting.

there are ppl who say automatics = girls car. So don't make decisions on these kinds of generalization. Newayz black is good too. I just don't like silver.
 
im not going for a manly man sports car here i just need something that will get me from point A to B...but i agree with black...ill probably go with thtat
 
Purely personal decision, what we like isn't going to help much if you don't like it. I like the red and the blue, they look really sharp. Silver really ain't a bad color, but it's just so overdone, and if you get black you'd better love washing your car once every half hour.
 
The graphite color that they introduced a few years back is just awesome. I think it's called carbon pearl or something. I wish it was available when I was buying.

For the most part, I don't think the EX is worth the cost. I wish you could get some of those upgrades a la carte.
 
I take it you're talking about a 2006? I'd probably stick with the LX. The biggest thing I'm aware of would be upgraded brakes in the EX. You also have the Nav unit option, but that means you're spending even more. Everything else the EX offers just doesn't seem that much worth it for the price. As for color, black or blue always nice looking.
 
Why cant you make the decision on your own??? I dont get why people come in here asking what they should get. We dont know you, what your like, your tastes, and yet you cant make a decision on your own as to what you like and want but rather what others would rather see you in. Do you feel that low of yourself not to make a choice on your own? Im sorry I just dont get it. I look at a car I want to buy I dont ask others do you think I should? What color? Is it right for me? I just look at it and go damn I like that, fvck what others will think and buy what I want to buy and what I like.

Sorry for changing it I just been reading so many threads on what I should get and do you all approve when it should be up to you on what to get and not the approval of the masses telling you what you should get. Your the one paying for it no one else is 😉

To me it depends on what car you get red on.
I like red on a lot of cars. It fits perfectly for exotic cars, but then almost all colors fit well on exotic cars. Maybe not purple...

the extra money on the EX will not translate into equally higher resale values. when it gets old, it will be worth like $200 more and that's all. but if you really want that moonroof and nice stereo, go for it. skip the NAV, since you can get aftermarket GPS system for far less money if you really decide you need one.
 
I have a Silver 2005 LX SE Couple (SE = +$600; added a decent stereo, wheels, spoiler, and leather shifter). I'm pleased with it, but I wished they would make ABS standard...
 
i've got a black '06 civic ex auto. really fun to drive, though i wish i would have gotten the stick. the EX has the nicer stereo, 16" alloys, and the moonroof.
