Buying a car out of state.

Me and my gf are looking to order a MINI cooper, but the wait-list here in Denver is almost a year. But, I visited my Aunt in Kansas City, and found out that the average wait is a month. Is there a penalty for buying out-of-state? Do I have to pay sales tax? Thanks

i bought a used car from out of state and there was a fee to transfer the title to my own state. Not sure if the same would apply to a new vehicle.

edit: you could always just call the dealership there and ask

I don't understand...you'd have to pay all the taxes and fees if you bought it in CO...you will still have to pay CO taxes and fees if you bought it out of state...so why not just buy it?

Yeah... you don't have to pay the other state's taxes, just your own.
