Buying a barebone mobo...

I'm buying this motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/product/...?item=N82E16813130081R

Looking at the picture of the accessories, all of which will be missing from the purchase, I see a little fan... is that going to be crucial to the operation of this motherboard? Or is anything else that is missing going to be something I'll need when it arrives? I already have the cables and stuff like that...

you should be ok...

the things you usually are missing are the i/o shield that even remotely matters.

from reading a review of that board before the fan is only for people who are really going to overclock that board.. its passively cooled with heatpipes, but the 680i is pretty high heat output so i remember the fan is optional to cool the chipset (it shoudl work without it)

newegg isnt always missing all the accessories, just dont expect them
