Put an order for $20 (internet) + $56 (Digital Cable Classic). I received the modem and called Comcast when my installation wouldn't work (didn't turn on my service was my guess). Turns out they know nothing of my order at all and even tried to charge me 44 for standard cable and the normal price for internet. Wtheck is going on?

After a quick search another site had something about the legit business between buycomcast.com and comcast.
Could easily still be a scam though.
 
I don't klnow about buycomcast.com but there are definitely other resellers out there that have been marked on SD and FW as good deals. Those work, but I wouldn't trust anything else that hasn't been talked about extensively on forums. This could be a scam, but I'm guessing they are probably just another reseller like the ones they talk about on SD and FW.
 
Well, everything worked out. I switched to basic cable though since none of my roommates cared about TV anymore. BTW I got Comcast because the only other option is ATT dsl and I need to get a phone line with it (we all use only cell phones). Sadly, Comcast is the only cable internet provider in my area.
