bottomline
if you can upgrade in the next 6-12months after buying the 1900xt, then upgrade if you will ot be able to buy g80 pr r600 setries cards before a yr and a half, then you may want to forget about it

Yeah I'll be able to upgrade again within around 2 months so I should be ok (not that I will but I'm sure I could find another 200 bucks 2 months later)

Being a hardware junkie myself, i understand, but i would only get the X1900XT/XTX cards IF i got the money for the next gen DX10 cards e.g G80/R600. (Im guessing the G80 will come at august, while R600 at the end of this year).

Well, to be totally honest, I have a little extra cash set aside for upgrading and I really want a better video card. I've always wanted a tad more since I got my GTX and if G80 isnt going to be out for ~3 months or so, I'm going for it. It's only a 200 dollar difference after selling what I have now

Why do you think G80 in AUgust though? I mean we have not heard a single solid rumor about specs, at least not that I've seen. Usually this stuff is leaking out like crazy ahead of time. Remember 7800GTX 512, X1800XT, X1900XT, 7900GTX, etc etc
