Folks:
Sorry if this is a dual post, did not see it anywhere else.
I think this deal is amazing if T-Mobile is in your area. You do need to buy a plan, activate, etc. After the plan and activation you're still up a good amount of cash.

Buy the T610 phone (retail $199.99).
Get $75 off the price immediately(down to $124.99).
Get a $100 off MIR from T-Mobile (down to 24.99)
Get a $150 off MIR from Amazon (you're up 124.99!!!).

This is legit, the rebate links are on the product description page at Amazon. Here's the link to the product:

Just start the order process and you can then click on the terms of agreement. It's 12 months.

I have the AT&T version of this phone (T-616), and compared to the Nokia 8260 I upgraded from, the OS is pretty slow. There are some minor bugs, and every once in a blue moon the phone will freeze (taking the battery out will fix it). I recall someone saying there's a firmware upgrade, but I'm not buying a data cable just for that (and I think it's too risky doing it over Bluetooth).

The Bluetooth is neat, though. Camera is pretty useless. If you can do without Bluetooth, I'd recommend another phone. Similar deals for other phones pop up every once in awhile.

the sim dislogded messages are kind of annoying. And everyone else I know with a T616 gets that message (and has to remove the batt to reset) about once a month.

The phone is as good as the service area.

The camera is probably among the weakest of the camera phones out there.

*But* the BT stack is very reliable. If you plan to connect a PDA or any other device for data, youre going to get one of the most stable BT connections of any phone.

I have the ATT version of this phone and have had tons of service problems with it. I am taking it back this weekend to try a different model.
