Buy now or wait?

Some coworkers and I each won $1000 in the Mega Millions lottery ($10,000 / 10 of us) so I decided to treat myself to a video card upgrade. The Radeon 2900 Pro has my attention (assuming I can find one). I don't think I want to get an 8800 320MB because I worry that the memory will limit me later on as well as the 2900 Pro is faster and is cheaper (I usually keep my stuff for atleast a year, so I try to make good purchases... I am still running my s939 dual core Opteron for example). The 8800 640 is more then I'd like to spend.

Knowing that there are some refreshes coming in the not to distant future, if you were me would you buy now or wait a month or two? I'm not sure how well the 2900 Pro/XT replacement is expected to run and what it will cost. I know that the 8800GT is coming as well as a refresh for the 8800GTS. I wasn't sure if any of these cards would bring any real advantages? What are your thoughts? Thanks!

*edit - Newegg has the 2900 Pro's in right now... tempting! 🙂

Get the most expensive one and dont look back!

I would at least wait till the rv670/8800gt come out.

Well, I'm weak. I read the customer reviews and couldn't help myself when I saw it was in stock. Worst case I guess is I sell it and buy something that comes out in the near future. I grabbed an HIS 2900 Pro 512MB (they were out of the 1GB, but I don't think I need that for my 22" monitor anyway).

For the record I was really planning on listening to what people said and make a decision later, but when I saw it was in stock I basically lost any willpower I had on got giddy. 😛
