I have a a7v and a duron 600@ 936 , geforce sdr , sblive and a 128 megs of ram ... should i update the mobo to a ddr one after x mass or should i wait for the dual ddr boards to come out get one of those and say two 1 gig t birds ? and for now go with a new video card ?

I would wait on the mo/bo upgrade.Maybe up your ram/harddrive.I wouldnt get another vid card now either, soon as you do the next gen are out and, well you get my drift.

I agree - there's not really too much point in upgrading your mobo yet, you won't see any real performance gains. If you really want to upgrade now, and don't mind forking out $350~, you could upgrade your video card to a Geforce 2 GTS Pro. But again, as SD pointed out...the new generation of cards is pretty close now 🙂

But definitely don't bother upgrading to a different motherboard - it's not worth it, unless your AV7 is giving you major problems.

I say that you should continue to hold back on everything. Honestly, it doesn't look like you need anything right now. So... how about just save a ton of money, and then splurge in a bit when you get your dual DDR board with dual Athlon 1.33GHz's with RAID (SCSI?), nice vid card, and an LCD display.

Well i've never been a fan of buying the latest video card ... to expensive. i guess i will just buy new speakers for now .... and mabye a new heatsink the fop 38 is to darn loud
