Buy now or wait for DDR DRAM?

I need a new computer. It need to be fast for games and under $1500.

I have already spent $227 on a KDS 19 in. monitor and $118 on a 8x4x32 Plextor CD-RW.

Should I wait until DDR mobos come out (AMD 760) or go ahead and buy now? (anyone have an eta on when DDR mobos will come out?)

If I buy now, what processor should I get for maximum overclocking capabilities? (I hope for 1 GHZ)

DDR is a pipe dream at this point. And when it arrives it'll need an AMD or VIA chipset to run it - rots o' ruck ! Maybe by X-Mas, and then more time to get it right.
