For buyers who purchase any new 2004 or 2005 model Nissan, the Route 46 Nissan dealership in Totowa is giving away a 2003 Nissan Sentra, usually an off-lease or traded-in vehicle.

Tackett said the new Nissans in the showroom range in price from $19,000 to $45,000, while he estimated the value of the second-hand models being given away at about $11,000.

They probably charge MSRP and most likely unwilling to negotiate on the price.

Free car would be nice, but it probably isn't really free.

I agree with isekii, that's probably the whole deal. And its even worse for the buyers because they really don't need the "free car" instead it would be better to just pocket that equivalent cash.

Why not just crash the new car, and I mean total it, collect the insurance to pay it off, and drive the FREE used car ??

not to mention the prison time and the fees > $19,000 - 45,000

Of course, you do get free room and board in most state prisons. ;)

Don't we all wish that Nissan is giving out free on a Nissan Skyline R34 from Japan?
That's what I thought at first...haha

Base 350Z with no options (MSRP + tax) = 27,030 + 6.25% tax (not sure what Jersey tax is) = ~ 29k
Used Nissan Sentra = ~ 11k

Sell to Carmax or equivalent chain there:

350Z = 23k
Sentra = 9k

23k + 9K = 32k

32k - 29k = 3k profit for a days work?

You could do that or you could just sell it.

Why don't you buy $10 million life insurance then commit suicide in your car crash to fake a car accident? Your family will not only get a free used car, they will get $10 millions as well. No jail time for you since you are dead. :)

Ebay, and I'm sure they don't FORCE you to take the car, worth at least 8000 if it's in decent condition, it's not like it's a junkder car or something. And if anyone doesnt want to pay license fees or something just send it on over to me i'll gladly take the car, will give ya 1000 bucks for shipping or whatever. :)

This is actually a good deal... if you are looking into buying a car or will need a second car soon.

If the kids are at the age of getting their DL, go buy a new Nissan, get the sentra give it to the kid. that retail price can't be more than a few thousand K of savings (3-5K)... and you get a used car along with the new vehicle.

So shop around from state to state. I'm sure some are better than others.
