Buy my books from B&N or school bookstore?

senior year in high school...ahhh relax time. Would it be cheaper to buy from my school storebook or from like Barnes and Noble?

Maybe he's talking about review books or required reading for his classes. My HS never made us buy the actual textbooks, but we did refer alot to review books and what not that we did have to buy.

The only books I bought in high school were those I felt like reading on my own. All review books or required reading materials were provided.
 
yeah we buy our books at my high school. then we resell them at the end of the year for like 20%. Its a better system than loaning IMO. Cause i don't have to buy from the bookstore unlike loaning, where you have to go through the school.

I'm confused...how is it better than loaning? In HS, I showed up for class and got my textbook for that class. At the end of the year, I turned my book(s) back in. No monetary expenditure at all on my part.

In HS? The only fees I paid in HS were club fees that were extra-curricular activities. All my books and such were supplied (textbooks, reference books, etc...) by the school.

do what I do, go to the bookstore, copy down the isbn numbers, go home, goto addall.com, enter isbn and enjoy savings. done. I saved over $150 on 2 books this semester. both books came new from the amazon used-market.

The latest thing is that people are scanning in the textbooks and creating pdfs you can get off newsgroups etc. If you find them then great but I way prefer reading a real book than reading them off a computer screen.
