so i'm trying to kill time at work (13h night shift, not much to do really) and i can't run anything because *some reason*, so i downloaded Angband and surprise, it runs.

atm lev 32 on dungeon level 34, trying to scum for artifacts. sweet.

anyone old enough to have played this? i beat it once a long while ago, got super lucky by finding the One True Ring somewhere around level 30, followed by practically every good arti in the game before lev 80.

Scrolls of *destruction* and major vault - $$ cha-ching! $$
 
I've played and defeated Angband, and Mines of Moria, and Nethack. If you haven't tried it, give ADOM a try. I've gotten to the end of it once, but died. Most of the time I die from corruption long before I get to the last level.

Mog - If you love ADOM, TB's been crowdfunding it for a year or so now and has improved things greatly. They'll always keep the ASCII option but they now have tiles and sound if you want a more modern experience.

Yes, I've donated. I'm looking forward to the final release on Steam. It should not be much longer now.
