Do you have something now that you can use?
If you wait, it will probably be 2 months, if not 3 or 4 for a wide choice, and even then prices might not be cheap, so it depends on what you want to spend.

The best part about Haswell will probably be battery life, so it depends on what you plan to do with a laptop, and whether you need a long battery life.

Non Haswell machines might also drop to try and clear stock.

I bought a Windows 8 tablet last year to play with, and had the idea to upgrade to a Haswell tablet when they came out a year later, but given how much/how I use my current tablet, I'm not sure there's any real benefit Haswell would bring and I probably won't bother now.
It's all about what you need from a laptop and when you need it.

There wont be any haswell notebooks for under $800 that would outperform that one in any measurable way, save for battery life. But for that kind of money you can just buy a $200 tablet and save even more of your notebook's battery life by using the tablet when possible. Intel's pricing is so absurd that it actually leads me to consider things like this! Anyway, the only problem I see with that notebook is the AMD discrete gpu wont provide as smooth of an experience compared to a nvidia. Their drivers are getting better though so it may not be a problem.

yeah, op we don't know what you really need, but I would think about it this way- it might be fall by the time you can get a new spec laptop, and youll be paying top dollar for it. or, you can buy that one you listed right now for a nice price and have it for years. I agree, the new laptops will have a little better battery life, but who really cares if another 20min is added to 4 hours... its an incremental upgrade so I wouldn't really wait for it.
