Buy heatpipes?

I would like to buy heatpipes - and only the heatpipes, not complete with fan and heatsink. But so far I haven't been able to find any store which stock these.

Do you guys know of any store which sell heatpipes?

Silly me, I found the borg DES D6. Problem solved, although a bit lame that the heatpipes was bloody expensive.

I found quite a few Swedish stores which have them in stock. They are manufactured by mCubed, manufacturer of (bloody expensive but darn good looking) passive cooled HTPC cases.

Although those are for thei HTPC cases.

Of course they are, who in their right mind just makes general use heat pipes. The problem is they are rigid and cannot be shapped, their thermal capabilities are based on the coolant inside and only work at certain temperature ranges, so theres no magic coolant for all heat pipes. The odds of finding one with the right coolant, that is the perfect size/shape is virtually nil.

It just doesnt make sense from a business perspective to make heat pipes for consumer purchase.

Heatpipes are actually very easy to bend, as long as you're careful not to crack them. It looks like you'd have to bend heatpipes just to put together one of their HTPC cases.

I bet you could make them out of copper pipes - if you had copper brazing stuff and the right coolants.
