Well,

with the memory prices so low I was thinking of going ahead and getting some good ddr chips while there cheap.

I'd hate to make my big upgrade I'm planning for 6 months down the road or more to find out that DDR chips doubled in price..... stupid ram lol...

thanks,

your thoughts??

They are selling it, but in my opinion all ram prices will still fall. It's seems as though DDR and RDRAM prices aren't all that different. Both will have heavy competition, and as a result, it will lower the prices of both. This sequence will trikle down to SDR as well.

actually you can buy DDR at micron website
but it is no use, because you got no motherboard that currently take them yet

Wait for the mainboards. That way you ensure compatibility (in case some mainboards having trouble with certain brands of memory...Intel's boards have had issues like this).

Tell you what, I would definitely wait. The memory will only get more stable as time passes. Remember that DDR is still relatively young. Just like SDRAM now is more stable than ever. Technology only improves over time (usually).
