I'm thinking about getting a few pairs of daily disposable lenses for those days that glasses are a real pain.

Just curious to see if anyone's done research on online contact lens vendors. I'm just looking for something economical and maybe a few pairs of colored lenses just to try them out.

So, any recommendations as to where to start looking? Also, what kind of process has to happen to verify prescriptions and things like that when ordering online?

Thanks!

I use 1800contacts.com and I've had no problems at all.

If you're ordering for the first time you have to put in your Optomitrist's name and phone number. 1800contacts.com will then give the office a call and verify that your order is correct (size, strength, etc). I believe you need to renew your perscription (go to the eye doctor and get an exam) every 2 years. After that 2 years I think 1800contacts will stop filling your order.
Don't quote me on that but I think that happened to my sister.

Search the Hot Deals forum. I remember seeing a site a while back that had some great deals for contact lenses.

Oh, and 1800contacts.com gives you free shipping. :)

1800contacts works great for me too. Been using them for a couple years with no problems.
