Buy.com - "Free" $15 in Cash

Here is what I did... I signed up with linksynergy that is partnered with Buy.com for a promotion. The promotion says this:

Earn a $15 commission if you generate your first order by the 15th of the month following approval!

I just clicked my own affiliate link and placed an order, my $15 is on the way!

Not really sure if this is a hot deal or not, but its an easy way to make a quick buck. Haha.

EDIT: I emailed the coordinator who setup the deal just to make sure. She verified that I would recieve the $15.

Some ways down someone posted that you needed $50 to get your payment. In my account it says: Payment - Every Month When Amount Exceeds $10.

I did something like this:

1. Sign up to linksynergy.
2. Sign up to thier buy.com program after being accepted. (took a few hours to be accepted)
3. Click my own affiliate url and ordered a cheap dvd lol.

I guess you could essentially order anything you wanted.

This could potentially be pretty sweet-order 50 DVD's, make 500$. Sure, it's dishonest, but that's not stopping me!

Nope, thats the link (linksynergy) for the deal. Please note the "offerid" part of the link. You get a $15 bonus for signing up to thier buy.com program and making a sale. You can only do it once I believe.

More information is available on the inside (members only part) of thier site, after you get approved just do a search for "buy" and it'll take you to thier buy.com members page with the information of the deal.

could i click on my link and buy only stuff on the page they take me to or can i navigate buy.com before buying something? how do you know they're counting my referral?

to count your referal (and be 100% sure)

clear your cookies... close all your browser windows... open a fresh window- paste in YOUR referal link.

It is also a good idea to do this from another IP. I know that some places will block out some IPs for abuse.

Overture.com is a good example.

I generated a report in the "my account" section and it also gave me comission for my own order... not bad lol
