Mods , please don't lock until we redirect everybody. Please at least give people the chance to finish what was originally started here. Just thought the stock holders might be interested to know what actual customers involved with buy.com has to say about this company.

I know some of the peole involved want to at least be kept informed of what is happening or at the very least vent, so please give this post some time

Completely off topic:

I'm wondering how you went short at $20. Most brokers do not allow an IPO to be shorted until 30 days after the IPO date. BUYX went public on 2/8/2000, on 3/8/2000 it closed around $16. The last time BUYX saw $20 was 2/11/2000, 3 days after its IPO. The only brokerages that I know to allow shorting IPOs are all off-shore.

You can short whatever you want if you know how to get around the US rules...for example...offshore accounts..
