Why is the s100 a better deal, because it is smaller? The concensus will agree that the s10 takes a better picture, myself included. I paid 400.00 for my s10 & 75 for the DK110 p/s kit, and have NO regrets.

well considering you can get either the s10 or s100 for $400 - $30 , but you have to buy a battery for the s10 and the s100 is smaller, well i'd say the s100 is better, except the s10 takes slightly better pics, but not a good deal. now if this was the s20, i'd be jumping on this...

it's not a HOT deal, but the price for this camera has been fluctuating like monkeys. It was this price in the summer, then went up, then up some more, then down some, then down to this... outpost had it for this price.. then BAM, $100 price jump.

It's a great camera, and to me, better than the s100 because that one is too small, and there's more of a selection for resolutions

I have a quick question for you. You ALWAYS post stuff, then go "I Don't know if this is a hot deal" but let me remind you, you are posting in the HOT DEALS FORUM. You REALLY should go to the price search engines, such as pricewatch.com, pricegrabber.com, and dealtime.com and do some RESEARCH first before posting things that waste people's time. You just posted something for $369 that can be had for under $350 just by doing a simple search on any of these search engines. PLEASE stop posting these things. Buy.com has had the DOTD offers forever and we all know how to check it. If something IS INDEED a very hot deal I think it would be wonderful if you posted it, but stop wasting people's time.

I saw a post just last week where you posted about a monitor. You didn't really know much about it other than specs. You didn't check out reviews on this product, and you hadn't even seen other people's opinions of it. You should, at the very LEAST, see what other people think of a monitor. Check www.epinions.com or a site which reviews hardware such as www.anandtech.com, www.tomshardware.com, or www.sharkyextreme.com. Any one of these could provide you at least a place to START. Please start researching your posts before you put them up and save us all of alot of time and money.

You know what's even worse? You posted a link to price this camera out on pricegrabber and it's $324 on there. Dude, seriously, STOP posting crap.

this is the second thread where I've seen you just be genuinely rude (the first being the chap who was asking if the staples pm plus coupon would work). It's totally off-putting and uncalled for. If you think something can be had at a better price somewhere else, feel free to politely say so, but to crap in people's threads like you have been only makes you look like a pompous ass.

How about you do your OWN research and determine if something is a hot deal to YOU instead of telling everybody else what they should and should not post here. Last time I checked these were not the "divinemartyr forums". They're a resource, NOT gospel on what are the absolute lowest prices out there. They also don't cost you anything, so you've really got no right to bitch.

What ESPECIALLY gets me is that this is the DOTD. The buy.com DOTD has been posted EVERY day for months, regardless of how hot it is. It was nice of ETLA to recognize and alert people that it may not be that good of a price, but for God's sake, if you don't want to buy it DON'T BUY IT!!!! If you find a better price, be nice and post the better price. But don't berate people for trying to help others out. It's completely counter-productive.

I meant to be rude here because it's absolutely ridiculous for someone to post "I don't know if this is a hot deal but here you go!" If I start posting the new Mercedes-Benz at $44,500, but I have absolutely no clue how much it costs in general, is that something that should be here? Absolutely not. I just don't think that it's worth anyone's time to read something like this, when lower prices were EASILY found. Etla's post was counter-productive, not mine.

You may not think your reply in the staples thread was rude, but at the very least it was unnecessary. If the mods want to lock something, they will lock it and let the poster know the reason it was locked. Your saying "this will be locked soon" doesn't help anybody out at all.

And about this thread, ALL you had to do was post a link to a lower price if you had found one. This forum doesn't need your condescending attitude. You have zero right to dictate what people post in this forum. If you want control over that, feel free to start your own forums. ETLA has posted MANY deals that are hot, and has helped out tons of people on this board. Just because this one can be had elsewhere for a couple dollars less doesn't mean that it can't be posted here.

And incidentally, ETLA is not profiting in the slightest by posting any of these--we all take time to do this to help out other people. I'm sorry that this particular deal didn't help you, but frankly, that's your problem and no one else's.

No one is forcing you to come here. If you want to participate, do so, but don't bag on other people for doing good deeds, it's unbecoming...

another thing to consider is where you buy from. altho not a flaming deal by our spoiled OM $250 standards, it's a good buy since buy.com has a no hassle return policy (from my own experience... i actually returned this s10 a while back... i now realize i should have kept it... but oh well).

I totally agree with you and once I see "ETLA" and "HOT" then I normally skip the whole thing as bigbigsavings wisely suggested.

I categorize them under "yasETLA" post.

It is just in cases like this here, where such a post keeps comming up the list again, when I look into it.
