yes it is worth the money if you need such a program. Yes version 10 is just around the corner. You can alway get the cheaper upgrade to version 10 when it is released, so go for it if you need this software. there are cheaper but less powerful alternatives if you do not need all those features. Most people probably can even get away with the free software that comes with your scanner, printer, or digital camera!
