I'll try again. :p

Odd... I checked this (V3100) out on Toshiba's Webpage and the specs don't add up... The lowest processor this system comes with according to their site is a Celeron 566. ? Could this be an older model? Don't they change model numbers in that case?

Most of the reviews for this are from May, and it's around 800 bucks. The parts sound decent (intel mobo). The only question is the power supply and if it has any USB ports. I didn't see any mention of USB, only 1 PCI and 1 ISA...

This is good for the relative or newbie who wants to surf the web but it's not good for much else.

Here's a little review:

This is probably a stupid question, but how do you find the deal of the day?

I used a Toshiba desktop before and the quality was not that great. It's a so-so machine. And I was using the 3200 line (with a PII instead of a Celeron).

Also, as I recall, the standard warranty is only 90 days. Toshiba offer extended warranty programs that you can buy directly from them.

Personally I don't think this is a good deal since the unit is not too expandable. Better off spending that money on building a good system on your own. With lots of great deals in this forum you can get more for your money. My .02 :)
