im still waiting for them to put the sony laptops on again!! man that was a deal! This one looks good too, but none have been resold on fleabay so theres no gauging how much this could fetch

i just checked pricewatch and the going price is about $500 for this model, so $200 off w/ free shipping is a great deal for what looks like a heavy duty laser printer

Where did you see info on a rebate for the 2100? I didn't see any mention of it anywhere on the site.

considering it prints 20ppm and 11x17 and it's network connectable, this is one great deal. too bad i already got the 870 which works great too.

Hmmm.. this one is interesting.

Usually you can find the same item without the 'deal of the day' stuff on the website, but at the regular price -- I can't find this one, maybe because this item is discontinued ?

Also, I think the network card will cost more than the printer.. haha

I'd keep the HP...this looks like a heavy-duty office/cluster printer to me, unless you had plans to resell it...but who knows?

Man, I wish I'd been up when the dreamcast was DOD! Fooey!

There's already some yutz on E-gay selling one of these, starting bidding at $300... Hmm, what a convenient start point! Any takers on whether he's a forum reader? :)

daid - Thanks for the link, I can't believe Buy.com regularly charges $479 for this BEHEMOTH.

In case anyone is interested here's the software drivers for this big ugly beast.

Just FYI's:

The Ricoh Rebate ($100 off select printers) does NOT include the Buy.Com deal of the Day AP2000 model. (The AP2100 is in the approved list).

Additional Specs found here:
Ricoh Specifications
(Features also available but same as the buy.com list: Features)

Actually, not a bad deal at all. This printer is discontinued by Ricoh, however; superceded by the AP2100 model.

The toner cartridge cost works out to be $149 for 14,000 pages (estimated). Not bad for a little over a penny a page for toner plus the cost of the paper consumables.

Seems pretty economical for a workgroup...supports PostScript Level 2 emulation even in Win2k.

I'd buy it, but I have an HP2100 that suits me quite nicely, as well as that other Buy.com deal of the Day on the NEC SuperScript 870. :p
