Ok I order a Cell phone from buy.com on friday afternoon. The lady told me the credit card on file was expired so I gave her mine. I ordered the cell phone under my name. Today I check the order online and it says MY CREDIT card with my dads NAME. This is a mistake she didn't ask for my name! Of coarse the order will be declined. I can't call customer service without paying 9.95 to fix this. Itried e-mailing but who knows? This is ridiculous.

It shouldn't cost you 9.95 to get this fixed. Call them up and don't give your information at first. Verify that you won't be charged the 9.95 fee to update the CC info
 
No, that's BUY.CUM's way of saying freak you for buying cheap from us. After getting an Archos MP3 from them and wanting to exchange it for a better package, their customer support or lack of really pissed me off. One advice if you ever, ever, buy from them - be sure that it's the thing that you want. And if it breaks or comes all freaked up, you're going to have to pay to talk to them.
 
no go, I had to e-mail them after talking to a sales rep. I sent the e-mail off they replied with this

We do apologize for the inconveniene but since we can not modify an
order once it's created, you will need to cancel this order and then
place a new order with the correct billing information. The credit
check for this order has been approved, therefore if the phone ships
under this name, the billing will also appear the same way. We regret
any inconvenience.

it didn't make that much sense except it sounds like my credit check went through fine and IF my order ships it will be billed to me but I have to cancel my order because of the credit card error! I basically replied saying there has to be some way of fixing this without cancelling my order so I don't have another credit check.
 
no i don't need it. just a pain in the butt. plus if they run another credit check that'll hurt my score so I rather them fix their error for being incompetent.
