Buy Canterwood

When will it be available?
What is an expectable price for it?
Will it take P4 2.53 for now?

Thanks

So if I am on a market for a new MB it does makes sence to wait for it?

Thanks

Sources revealed a precise launch schedule of Intel?s upcoming Pentium 4 processors with 800MHz Quad Pumped Bus and Hyper-Threading technology as well as supporting chipsets. Just like we informed you in late February (see this news-story), the first ever Pentium 4 with 800MHz QPB processor will be announced on the 16th week of 2003, while the Springdale chipsets, as well as other members of the family will come during the 21st week, based on the latest plans from Santa Clara (see this news-story for explanation).

A Dream-Team workstation combo consisting of Intel 875P (Canterwood) chipset and Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz processor will emerge in 10 days from now, on Monday, the 14th of April. It is also expected that the Canterwood for UP Rack servers will also make its appearance on the same date.

Springdale (i865) chipsets as well as Pentium 4 2.40, 2.60 and 2.80GHz processors with 800MHz QPB and the Hyper-Threading technology will enter the arena on the 20th of May. The Pentium 4 2.40C, 2.60C and 2.80C CPUs will cost $178, $218 and $278 respectively at the launch if Intel does not change its plans again.

The Pentium 4 3.20GHz is really postponed towards June, as we predicted, but at the moment no official date is set.

We know wonder how AMD is going to react on all of this.

According to Xbit and a ton of other internet reports (that are dropping like flies btw, probably b/c of Intel's NDA goons).
