I am thinking of buying a video card for about $60 for my AMD 780G system.
1. 2400XT $40
2. X1650GT $42
3. 2600XT GDDR4 $67

If I buy 2400XT, I sure will use Hybrid Crossfire. But the thing is that I don't know the performance against the other two. Anyone can give me a suggestion?

Thanks

Check with your local Best Buy. Many of them have the Visiontek HD2600 Pro 512MB DDR2 in both AGP and PCIe flavors for $24.99 - $39.99. There is a thread over at fatwallet. Do note that the prices have varied from store to store and is not reflected on their website.

I am curious to know where you found a 2600XT with DDR4 for $67?

And really, when you're scraping that bottom of the barrel you're not looking at performance/$. 780G hybrid crossfire with the 2400XT may or may not reach the performance of a 2600XT (my money is on NOT), but you'll definitely have crossfire issues to deal with.

$25 for a 2600 Pro is as good as it's gonna get on an extreme budget. The next step up is an 8600GT for $50ish -- that should be competitive with the 2600XT and can be had for a few $ less.

The 7600GT, 8600GT and 2600XT will all play all recent games just fine at 1024x768 and 1280x1024, and may even let you get a bit higher or turn on some eye candy depending on the title.

#3 is by far the best. Not even close.

What are your main uses? HTPC or games? If games, which ones are you mainly playing and at what resolution? I am not sure I would even consider the X1650.

Works like this:

HD 2600XT >>>>>>>>>> X1650GT >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> HD 2400XT.

And i think only the HD 3450 can do Hybrid Crossfire.

Just get a cheap, up-to-date card with the features/outputs you require.

From the cards you list:
8800GS is good if you game.
HD 2400XT for an low-power/quiet HTPC.
HD 2600XT falls between the above two.
