Buy a second hand Samsung SyncMaster P2770HD? (primary use/concern Gaming)

(I posted this in another forum, but want to make a decision quick)
Does anyone have this monitor? I'm sitting on the fence as it's available for a reasonable price second hand but I'm skeptical of the 5ms response time.
This would cost about 33% less then new (used for a couple months).

I have a 2ms 1680x1050, I don't want to lose any noticeable response time or get any ghosting.

Pros: larger then my current screen
Cons: response time
Possibly large pixels as it's 27" and "only" 1920x1080.

Opinions? Does it pay to consider this?

I'm not really looking at other screens atm, I just have a chance to buy this locally second hand so I need to decide whether to purchase this exact model or not.

I backordered a 7970 if that should be taken into consideration. (lag etc.)

Too large a screen to only be 1080p in my mind. I don't use a standard monitor but when I did I always prefered the highest resolution I could get as I sat somewhat close to it. That's just a tv masquerading as a monitor. Seems to be how the companies are cheapening out nowadays.
