Buy a good case now or wait for new standards?

I know it may be too soon to tell, but there is word of new form factor motherboard standards comming out - BTX, PCI-X, Etc... I am considering getting a larger case (Lian-Li PC-6070b) for my ATX Mobo as I've got too much stuff in my small case as it is right now. Would that be a bad decision if I intend to spend $100+ now on a case and upgrade to a better Motherboard, Proc, and RAM in the next 1-1+1/2 years with new standards comming out? I'm hoping to get a case that I can re-use with a future upgrade.

I'd get a cheaper case if I knew the current cases wouldn't support upcomming standards. Am I out of line?

Seriously, you could upgrade to many cases and get a nicer looking and easier to cool setup. If the Lian-Li has room and you like it, get it. ATX is going to stay for a good while yet.

Wow, that's quite a case but overkill and overbudget for my app.

I really like the Lian-Li cases and have been looking at them for a while. Your response on ATX was what I was looking for. That was really my only reservation.

BTX still isn't here, nothing but P4 EEs even need BTX right now (yet even they can be cooled fine w/ good ATX cases), and there's tons of ATX mobo, PSU, and case inventory around. So even if BTX really catches on, you're talking 2 years minimum, espeically if AMD is an option.
Intel would have to throw insane amounts of money at it for BTX to catch on any quicker (look at ATX...AT held its ground for a few years). Not to mention, while ~100w is going to stay, the newer Prescott CPUs will run cooler, so there won't be too many CPUs exceeding 100w, and therefore needing better cooling.
