I've used my linksys 4 port router/switch for over 3-4 years and haven't had a single problem at all. I also use a linksys wireless pcmcia card and it works flawlessly. Like with any other product, sometimes you get a bad one.

not to sound like a thread crapper, but some of these people are giving you ideas, and all u have too do is throw crap at them, if u don't want to spend money, then just about anything you will buy is about or on par too linksys quality.

theres some switches out there that are better, but it sound like u want to spend 10-15 bucks, good luck,

i would all change the title so people better know what u want

I have a little linksys 4 port switch that I've been using for over a year now with absolutly no problems.

This guy is networking his house, not a corporate network, he doesn't need a managed switch 😉

This seemed to have gotten lost in the argument:

"Just buy the cheapest one you can find, it really doesn't make that much of a difference..."

alrighty 🙂 i picked up a DLink for 30 bucks at best buy. havent tested it out yet, though. need to make another ethernet cable, before i can hook the whole system up.
