For reals? HOLY SHITE!

I hope I can get that far!

mine does 630/2100

If I OC, it will still be under warranty, right?

If so, what do I have to lose! Yay! :D

oc through software only, no hardware mods (aka voltmods)

YES! :D I don't feel comfortable with hardware mods like soldering and stuff!

You've made me a happy man! (Boy, actually)

dont buy the overclocked version, just the regular $329 640mb one

ill show you a screen of oced vs non oc

Holy crap! Damn, you're a good man to have done that for me to see! :D

Thanks. You have greatly increased my hope of a successful OC!

BTW, those are some significant improvements!

Oh, okay.

Is there something wrong with Ntune that I should know about? Or is it just a matter of preference?

ATI TOOL is just easier to use for me, it also will test for stability.

be sure to get one of these also

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835129025

I have the dual slot, which helps A LOT

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp...=cyclone&type=product&id=1124432441259

-10c on temps

there are slots on the card cooler that dumps air back into the case, placing one of these underneath it will suck it out of the case

get the single slot if youre in need of free slots on your board.

This has helped me as well. I'm planning on getting the 640MB 8800 but I'm not sure if I really need it.

I don't use super high resolutions, I'd rather have 1280x1024 with all the features turned to high. Would that be more CPU limiting than GPU limiting?

I'm waiting another week or two until they get down to $325 without MIR. MIRs don't affect what you actually pay and that's really what matters. MIRs are usually just a hassle, especially if they're less than $50.

Yeah I'll probably wait a week as well. Hopefully we'll see some Halo 2 Vista benchmarks around 22nd and the cards will be priced lower without MIR (its a hassle).
I'm going to be playing games in 1440x900 resolution (my LCD's native resolution). I did not find any benchmarks for that resolution but since 1440x900 = 1296000 and 1280x1024 = 1310720 can I assume that the 1280x1024 benchmarks will apply to my setup as well?

Thanks man!

low-cant hear it
med-cant hear it
high-little bit of noise

the 8800 @ 100% is louder than the slot cooler (super cyclone dual slot) even @ 100% fan, the 8800 is not loud
