Print off CompUSA site (8.99) Imation 50 pack price and Pmatch to Office Depot (which is selling them for 21.99). =26.97 for 3, send in 10.00 Rebate .... 16.97..

While you are shopping pick the spindles that have "RIP Rewards" on them this entitles you to a Free software title (39.99 value -- yeah ok......) No handling charge which is nice. I picked up MGI Photosuite 5.

Now, When you enroll your purchase also gives you 2500 points. Since you have 3X2500= You should wind up with 7500 pts, which should be just enough to get a Music CD! They have a fair selection of music.

You could just accrue points but most stuff is way overpriced.

RIP IMATION
Selection of CD's

Could be a good deal.... I am sending two rebates so my total will be a bit less.

Your mileage may vary store to store. Happy Shopping!!!

NICK,

I see one problem with your PM. OD CD-R's are 24x. COMPUSA's are 16x. I have a better one. Take COMPUSA's printed off ad (if they will accept it, does anyone know?) to OM and get them for 8.99, then pick up the rebate coupon ($14 back) and get them for -$6. They are both 16x.

Again, if anyone knows if OM will accept net printed ads, PLMK.

My OM B&M has told me that they will not pricematch anyone anymore because "each store (including competitors) has their own deals and sales". I know some stores are more lenient than others though. Good luck.

gump47371 - I was able to pull off what you suggested. I printed up the CompUSA site ad for 50 16x Imation CDRs. I took that ad and went to OfficeMax in Roseville, CA. I found multiple packages of the 16x Imation CDR, but I only bought one. Went up to the counter and asked the employee if they can pricematch ads. She said no problem and I showed her the print out. Bought the Imation CDRs for $9.xx after tax. This is a great deal if the $14 rebate comes in as I will be paid $5 to buy the CDRs.

I plan on heading up there this afternoon with a copy of their price matching policy in hand. Hopefully that will give me the edge!

YMMV on the OM price match. In Nashville, the Whitebridge store PM's only Staples and OD (however, the manager is an @-hole), while the Brentwood store took the CompUSA printout with no problem.

Scored the PM. The manager looked it over for about 5 minutes while the whole time the CSR kept saying "we have a $14 rebate". He eventually said OK. He then came back before the CSR got a chance to ring me up and said these are 24X and the CompUSA ones are 16X - we can't do it. Luckily they had a 16X still on the shelf. After I brought those up he looked a bit pissed. Both the 16X and 24X have the exact same UPC code. No rebate receipt printed, but I grabbed one of their rebate booklets and off I went.

Moral here is make sure you've got the exact same product. I'm sure YMMV. BTW, there is a limit of 1 rebate. Also, the 16X do not have the points on them.
