You're ignoring the case of where you can't even find certain games as new.

Example: I bought Battalion Wars II, BW I, and SMT: Nocturne with this particular B2G1. You're just not going to find BW I new, and even BW II is pretty much off the shelves at this point. You can get new copies of Nocturne from Play-Asia, but, realistically, you're not going to find it at retail as new.
