Just got my Buttkicker Gamer. Need some help with settings for Creative XF-i.

Seems I need to tick "Enable Bass Redirection" in my XF-i Control Panel. I also have "Subwoofer Gain" ticked. What is "Crossover Frequency" and how high should it be?

I'm using the recommended game settings Buttkicker recommends (not to mention all the knobs and buttons are Greek to me).

Should you be able to "hear" the Buttkicker Gamer? I can hear the piston beating loud and clear. The FAQ said it's too loud if you can hear the piston, but lowering the volume takes awy most of the effect I desire.

Any incite would be appreciated.

Well who cares if they say it's too loud? Is it good for you? Why would they put the piston in there if you aren't supposed to hear it? Maybe they say it's too loud because they are scared you might damage your ears so if you are confortable with the volume who cares?

To quote the product information guide"
Q.[/i]I hear a knocking or banging noise coming from the Buttkicker Gamer.[/i]

A.That is the internal piston of the Buttkicker Gamer hitting the inside of the housing. Although this will not immediately harm the unit, you should turn the volume down (lower)on the Gamer Amplifier to avoid this "over driving" of the Buttkicker Gamer.

This thing is meant to be felt, rather than heard. Although there's a "Volume" knob, I think it would be better named an "Intensity Knob".
