I had some spare parts laying around, a cheap Sony subwoofer amp and an ampless PSB 10 " sub box so I decided to bolt the Sony amp to the PSB box and use it to supplement my other subs.
Just for the fun of it, I decided to lean this frankeinsub right against the back of my couch,
I put Prometheus on!!!!!!!!!!!!! OM*G
WOW!
You can feel every vibration in your body.
The ship's landing scene was absolutely unbelievable, the couch was shaking so much I tough I was on the ship. You should have seen the grin on my face, LOL.
I highly recommend it.
Now, I just picked a new reclining loveseat to replace this couch. Leaning this sub on the back of the new couch is not an option because it is reclining. I am thinking about taking the driver out of the PSB sub box and screwing it to a wooden post inside the new loveseat. Or maybe just lean the sub on the side of the seat but WAF is going to be an issue if I do this. WAF is bad enough as it is.
More pics to follow once I get the new furniture set up in the room.
Stay tuned.
