Cliffs:

-found Blur 10 year Box Set (unopened) 5 years ago at Newbury Comics used for $80.
-bought it
-kept it in my "safe" place in my closet
-I move out, go to college.
-Cousin moves in
-Cousin finds my "safe" place in closet
-Went to go back and get said box set....
-find out it's not there
-I find a box full of my old stuff in a box and my 22 cd box set is just scattered in there.
-Found out that he ruined the "box/portfolio" it came in. He took everythign out to store his vcd's in it.
-He brought his new holder to a friend's house.
-His friend's dog eats it up.
-His response to the situation "but....the cd's are still there...it still the box set".
-Can't really yell at him because it is my fault for leaving it at my house when I moved.

Grrr....replacement is over $200

Box sets are usually collectors items with all sorts of pictures, etc.

It's his fault, make him replace the whole thing with exactly what you had expected to be there when you left it there. The fact that you left it in a closet when you moved shouldn't change the fact that it's your property and he shouldn't have touched it if he wasn't given permission or ready to replace it if something happened.
