Busy street but shorter, less busy highway but longer, which do you take?

tomorrow i have a choice between a 1.5 hr drive all free way, about 110 miles or 50 miles locally (about 1 hr 20 minutes).

which would you take?

also, which do you think would use less gas?

Longer highway - so I don't have to get angry at the people in front of me talking on their cell phones, and takig there time to hit the gas pedal when the light turns green. Plus, I can usually speed around everyone on the highway if they're going slow, in the city, you're pretty much screwed.
